Resurfacing of roads in Triangle Farm, Bellville

Today, Monday, 4 May 2026, the City of Cape Town’s Urban Mobility Directorate commences roadworks along Isotope Street, Reactor Street, Thermo Street, Micro Street, Molecule Street, Ferguson Street, Proton Crescent, Neutron Street, Electron Street, Tetra Street, Uranium Street and Brug Street in Triangle Farm, Bellville. The roadworks will continue until Wednesday, 24 June 2026, and will take place between 07:00 and 17:00, Monday to Friday, weather permitting and subject to no unforeseen delays. Ancillary works will be undertaken during the day, while roadworks will be carried out during night shifts as per the project profile.

‘I would like to thank all road users and residents for their patience during these roadworks, which aim to improve accessibility within Triangle Farm and keep Cape Town moving on quality roads. Our Roads Infrastructure Management team is installing and repairing kerbs, manholes, and channels where needed. Existing road surfaces will be removed using a milling machine, and new asphalt layers will be laid. All road markings removed during the process will be reinstated with new paint,’ said the City’s Mayoral Committee Member for Urban Mobility, Rob Quintas.

Motorists, businesses, and residents in the area should expect temporary disruptions, including lane closures and possible delays. The City urges all road users to exercise caution, adhere to temporary road signage, and plan their travel routes accordingly.

The resurfacing of roads forms part of the City of Cape Town’s road maintenance system.
